Interview from www.prote.in/
What are you currently working on?
I've just finished a large installation at the MAM Museum in New Jersey so I'm busy promoting
that. I'm also working on a new series of wallpapers for flavorpaper. What platforms do you use to promote your work?
I have Tumblr,Flickr and Facebook accounts but I think these things are mostly for social
purposes.I'm pretty reliant on other people finding and reblogging my work, to be honest. Is there any negative impact from the vast number of blogs and sites that are out there
on the web? Or is it the more the merrier?
I'm more in the more the merrier camp. I can't possibly absorb every bit of relevant inspiration,
but I find it comforting to know that it's out there. More every day, I say.
How does the ever-increasing availability of data impact you?
I suppose I feel the pressure to constantly be creating and posting New York.I appreciate that
pressure to some extent. I think there's a risk I could overwork or overthink some pieces if
there was no motivation to finish and move on.
Do the current issues surrounding online privacy in social networking websites concern you?
No, Maybe I'm native about this. I don't offer a great deal of personal information on public
forums, but that's largely because my personal info is boring.
What public infographic would you most like to redesign?
The NYC subway maps on every train are iconic and perfectly serviceable, but not very fun.
I'd like redraw them, but I image my version would be pretty unhelpful.
